Thematic Photographic 355 - Old

Nature offers lots of old items, leaves in the Fall, old growth forests, mountains that grew out of lava spewed out from volcanos hundreds and sometimes thousands of years ago, glaciers that developed before our time on this earth.  So whatever is considered "old" that was man made may be old to us but in reality is quite new on this "old" earth of ours.

So who is old enough to remember sitting in a classroom on such a desk?

If my memory is correct, many 19th century novels have small carriages of this type, sometimes pulled by big dogs, sometimes by ponies.

Of course old castles often dated from the 10th to 11th century and in the Pyrenees there are Les châteaux cathares. Many of them in ruins, on top of hills and mountains.

  1. So happy I'm not that old to have had a desk like that! It's certainly very nice, as are your other photos. The last one is just beautiful!
